The 2008 Ride Monroe County bike ride will be held on October 4th, 2008, beginning at 7:00 am in the downtown historic Courthouse in Monroeville, Alabama.  The courthouse is well known for its scenes from "To Kill a Mockingbird" and home town of author of the book,  Nell Harper Lee.

Your route will take you to some of the most beautiful and historic areas of Monroe County.

Registration is $35 on or before September 15th, ($40 after September 15th). Registration will include a ride t-shirt, BBQ dinner, snacks and water along the route.   There will be designated rest stops at various points along the routes.

SAG vehicles will provide rider support along the route.

Discounted ride hotel rates are available locally at the Best Western and Days Inn Hotels if you plan an overnight stay.  Late hotel checkout is available if needed.  

The Ride has three routes available:

Yellow Route : 26 miles (Great for someone just getting into riding)

Green Route  : 62 miles (Metric Century, lots of hills)

White Route  : 102 miles (Century Ride, lots of hills)

All proceeds will benefit the Kiwanis Club of Monroeville and its local projects.
